Colours and shapes are expanded on in this group,
as well as the introduction of more complex fine
motor skills, such as cutting with scissors. Mid year
sees the start of workbooks in this group, to
prepare the children for the formal work such as
Letterland that takes place in Yellow Group.
Children start practicing basic patterns and,
towards the end of the year, basic letter formation
such as writing their name.
