Grade R
Phonics skills are solidified in our grade R year with
the Letter Land syllabus, and the foundations for
Grade one are built, in all areas of development
(literacy, numeracy and life skills). Our Grade R
children are also required to wear a uniform to
prepare them for “big school”. There are weekly
theme meetings, where each teacher is given
something to prepare and ideas are shared. The
groups are also given an age-appropriate
Occupational Therapy activity to do each week.
